Keith Bodman was raised in the Central Highlands of Queensland, later studying and beginning a long but enjoyably diverse career in rural industry development in Australia and overseas. He came to WA at the turn of the century on what was to be a 3-year contract to build the training capacity of rural and applied environmental studies in WA TAFE and sensibly stayed here. He was then offered a stint in the mining industry in the Pilbara, managing the six Robe River and Hamersley Pastoral leases and Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s Aboriginal Community Development and Liaison programs. After a brief try at staying in the same place for a while he began to work with a number of WA Aboriginal drug and alcohol prevention organisations in their journeys towards stronger governance and continuous quality improvement.  Keith has been a committee member, the Secretary as well as Co-secretary of Bringing Them Home WA since 2009. He has been the WA non-Aboriginal delegate as well as Interim Secretary and Executive Secretary of the National Stolen Generations Alliance and is secretary of the WA Stolen Generations Aboriginal Corporation.  He was also a founding member of Reconciliation WA and a member of the Reconciliation Council’s national roundtable. He is now in pro bono supporting roles with the WA Stolen Generations Aboriginal Corporation and its members.
