Sorry Day 2023

This is just placeholder text. Don’t be alarmed, this is just here to fill up space since your finalized copy isn’t ready yet.

Friday 26th May 2023 marks the 26th anniversary of the release of the Bringing Them Home Report, which was the Report of the Human Rights Commission’s National Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children from Their Families. We invite you to join us at the recently installed Stolen Generations Memorial at Wellington Square in East Perth to commemorate this significant day.

You can join us in the Marquee for morning tea and to view our audio-visual presentations from 11:00am to 12 noon. At Midday, we will commence a formal ceremony with a Welcome to Country and a range of presentations and live music. At 12:30pm we will invite you to participate in a smoking ceremony as we walk around the Stolen Generations Memorial in honour of the Stolen Generations Survivors and particularly those who have passed away. Formal proceedings will finish at 12:45pm and you are then invited to join us for a light lunch and a yarn!

If you would like to attend this special event, please register using the links below so that we can cater for those who wish to attend.

The event is free!

If you are unable to attend, please register your interest for the live broadcast and we will email you a link to the live broadcast of the formal proceedings, which can be watched live on YouTube or viewed after the event at a time that suits you or your school or organisation.
